Prune Growing Tips on Marijuana Plants

You are able to prune the growing tips of your marijuana plants and it can be beneficial if done right. The strongest marijuana bud possible is discovered within the growing tips. Within about 90 days of plant growth the bud produced in that area will likely be able to produce very high quality smoke.

Pruning

While your plants are growing you can prune the growing tips. You don’t want to prune your marijuana plants too often though because it can lead to them getting injured. If you have a technique prepared for pruning your dope plants it can help a lot instead of randomly pruning them infrequently.

Every time you get rid of a growing tip the marijuana plant will take a couple of days for it to heal and return to the previous state it was once in. New growth will occur a few days after the plant gets pruned for that particular branch. If you continue to prune the marijuana plants then the new growth for that branch could be rather low but will vary depending on the genetics of the seed and the environment of the grow room.

It’s suggested you prune the marijuana plants just during the vegetative phase and mostly at the start of it. When the vegetative phase is about to end and the flowering phase is about to begin you should stop pruning the dope plants. Also make sure you don’t prune all the new nodes that appear on a plant that is still not grown much yet. It’s best for you to only prune half (or a third) of the nodes on the marijuana plant instead.
